Single-vision · 7

Single-vision lenses

Most people who need correction for reading and intermediate distances use single-vision lenses dedicated to near vision. At intermediate distance, objects appear blurred, leaving the wearer's sharp vision limited to roughly 40 cm.

HOYA offers a range of single-vision solutions. The foundations of each are quality, innovation and ease of use. HOYA single-vision lenses are available in a range of designs.

Single-vision lenses
HOYA Hilux Trueform lenses

Hilux Trueform

HOYA's spherical solution, available in a wide range of materials and treatments. A good choice for lower prescriptions.

Hilux spherical lenses are highly durable organic lenses of classic single-vision design; at higher prescriptions they show greater edge and central thickness, with the classic peripheral distortion.

HOYA Hilux Kids children's lenses

Hilux Kids

Hilux Kids Plastic 1.50 children's lenses Ø 50 mm and Ø 60 mm are designed exclusively for children's eyes. Available with a hard coating or with the hydrophobic Hi-Vision Aqua anti-reflective coating.

If you want pixel-level precision in your lens, choose the Hilux TrueForm single-vision design — HOYA additionally processes the back surface of the existing lens design to match your prescription.

For you this means that the prescription is uniquely calculated to enhance visual acuity and image clarity in every line of sight.

HOYA Hilux Dynamic Polarized lenses

Hilux Dynamic Polarized

Hilux single-vision lenses can also be ordered with polarisation, providing outstanding contrast, richer natural colours and the removal of unwanted reflections from surfaces such as snow, water, sand and roads.

The left image shows the view without polarisation; the right shows the view through a polarised lens.

HOYA Nulux TrueForm lenses

Nulux TrueForm

HOYA's aspheric solution — a flatter curvature for a more flattering look. Especially recommended for high prescriptions.

The Nulux aspheric lens is a double-aspheric lens polished on both sides in a special way. The result is uniquely sharp vision and maximum clarity across the field of view.

If you want pixel-level precision in your lenses, choose the Nulux TrueForm single-vision design — HOYA additionally processes the back surface of the existing lens design according to your prescription. HOYA Nulux iDentity premium single-vision lens
Premium · digital world

Nulux iDentity

Clear vision across the entire lens, optimised for the digital environment.

Nulux iDentity, a premium stock single-vision lens, delivers a clear image across the entire lens, is optimised for the digital environment, is aesthetically thinner and minimises the eye-appearance change behind high-prescription lenses so the eyes look natural.

Vision in a busy world

Sight is our primary way of understanding and exploring the world. Eyes and brain work in harmony to interpret what we see.

In today's busy lifestyle, our eyes constantly shift focus between distant objects and digital screens. This puts our vision under additional strain.

Do you notice blurred, uncomfortable vision — especially at the edges of your lenses?

Why Nulux iDentity

Conventional glasses often offer a narrower field of view, with distortion or blur — especially when you look to the side — due to the shape of traditional spectacle lenses.

That's why HOYA developed the Nulux iDentity lens — designed to deliver distortion-free vision in every direction with edge-to-edge clarity.

HOYA Nulux iDentity offers an experience as close as possible to natural vision, ensuring clarity across the entire lens without distortion and preserving natural colour perception.

HOYA Sync III lenses for the digital world
Accommodative · 13–45 yrs

Sync III

Relaxes your eyes in the digital world.

HOYA Sync III — the third generation of specially designed lenses that improve accommodation to relax the eyes in the digital world.

The problem: digital eye strain

Between smartphones, computers, tablets, TVs and other devices, many people spend on average 8 to 10 hours a day looking at digital screens or doing near-vision tasks. Long screen time can cause digital eye strain with symptoms such as irritated eyes, blurred vision and headaches — even after just two hours. Switching between devices can make things worse, because the eyes don't get a chance to relax.

Recent research shows that the severity of eye-strain symptoms can be reduced in 84% of cases after wearing HOYA accommodation-supporting lenses.

Who it's for

These advanced single-vision lenses are designed to meet the needs of a broad segment of digital-device users:

  • For people aged 13 to 45 who spend more than two hours a day looking at digital screens or doing other near-vision tasks
  • For people who experience digital eye-strain symptoms or want to prevent them

How Sync III works

HOYA Sync III boosted single-vision lenses carry the distance prescription for everyday use and a "boost zone" at the bottom of the lens, optimised for the way clients use their eyes.

The boost zone slightly increases the prescription power, helping relax the eye muscles and ease focusing — reducing eye strain and improving visual comfort during near-vision activity in the digital world.

Sync III app — the iSelect tool

To make choosing among the three boost zones easier, HOYA provides the Sync III iSelect tool for opticians. By answering questions in the app, the right Sync III lens design is recommended based on the client's profile and symptoms.

If you spend more than two hours a day on digital screens or near-vision tasks and feel symptoms of digital eye strain, ask your optician for a demonstration of the Sync lens benefits — they'll help relax your eyes in the digital world.

HOYA EnRoute driving lenses
Driving · Glare Filter

EnRoute

More comfort and safety in demanding driving conditions.

Equipped with a specially developed Glare Filter, EnRoute significantly reduces distracting glare and reflections while improving contrast and the perception of light.

The challenge of modern driving

Roads are increasingly congested, and as we spend more time in the car, our eyes grow more tired. Weather, time of day and the bright headlights of modern cars all affect vision.

Another important fact that shouldn't be overlooked: 90% of a driver's reactions depend on sight, so impaired vision slows reaction time. Conditions on the road change in seconds and danger can appear out of nowhere, so good vision — or the right correction — is decisive.

EnRoute is designed for drivers — it minimises visual stress and delivers more relaxed vision.

What EnRoute offers

Combining premium single-vision or progressive lenses with the specially developed Glare Filter and an optional contrast-boosting filter, EnRoute offers:

  • A significant reduction in reflections and unwanted glare from oncoming traffic
  • Improved contrast and perception in low light, fog and rain
  • Clear, unobstructed vision for distance, the dashboard and the mirrors
  • Smooth, fast transitions between road, dashboard and mirrors
  • EnRoute Pro for professional drivers
The difference in day and night driving with EnRoute

The Glare Filter reduces unwanted glare

EnRoute is equipped with a specially developed Glare Filter. It selectively cuts blue-spectrum light, reducing light scatter and glare from the dashboard, oncoming headlights and street lighting. At the same time, it boosts the right amount of light getting through, improving contrast and brightness perception. The result is more comfortable, relaxed vision even in poor lighting, bad weather or other demanding driving conditions.

Stable vision and fast refocusing

Most driving time is spent looking ahead into the distance — requiring a wide, clear field of view. Your gaze must move quickly between distances with minimal head movement: from the road to the navigation device, or from the mirrors to the dashboard. Focusing and refocusing can be especially challenging for older drivers.

EnRoute progressive lenses incorporate HOYA technologies: an integrated Double Surface Design for a wider field of view and fast transitions between distances, and Balanced View Control for stable image perception in dynamic driving conditions.

Occupational · 3

Occupational lenses

Occupational lenses are designed for near and intermediate distances (up to roughly 4 m). They are aimed primarily at younger presbyopes who don't need a distance correction. The main difference between progressives and occupationals is the width of the field of view.

For people who work at a computer and wear glasses, blue-light filters alone aren't enough — the eye is strained by constant focusing and accommodation as the gaze shifts between near vision and the intermediate distance of the screen. The result: eye strain, blurring, dryness, redness and a gritty feeling in the eyes.

Occupational lenses

A highly effective solution is the occupational progressive — the reading prescription sits in the lower part of the lens and decreases upward. This delivers clarity both up close and at the computer, without driving the prescription up the way single-vision lenses can. It also encourages a natural head position, helping to avoid neck pain, headaches and similar issues. The lenses additionally filter distracting screen reflections for greater comfort.

HOYA Supereader occupational lenses

Supereader

For anyone who reads intensively at work or at leisure and seeks visual support for office tasks, digital device use or hobbies — chess, cards or computer games.

QuicFocus technology supports a natural head position with less eye rotation in near-vision tasks.

Available in two variations:

  • Supereader A / 0.75ADD — distance up to 0.5 m / for reading or using digital devices
  • Supereader B / 1.5 ADD — distance up to 1.2 m / enhanced reading or desk-work glasses

Benefits:

  • Better depth correction compared with reading glasses
  • smanjeni simptomi Computer Vision Sindroma
  • Natural head position with less eye movement in near-vision tasks
HOYA WorkSmart Room occupational lenses

WorkSmart Room

If you wear progressive glasses but spend a lot of time at the computer or on near-vision tasks, Hoyalux WorkSmart Room provides a particularly wide field of view and great comfort. You can shift effortlessly between screen and keyboard distance, with a perfect view of the desk throughout the day.

WorkSmart Room is an excellent option as a second pair for presbyopes — for near-vision office work and for wearers with a high addition.

Available in two design variations:

  • WorkSmart Room 200 — za udaljenosti do 2 m
  • WorkSmart Room 400 — za udaljenosti do 4 m

HOYA WorkStyle Business occupational lenses

  • Older computer users wearing progressives with a high addition

Features:

  • Reduction of swim-and-sway effects
  • Dual-surface processing technology that delivers the optimal visual performance for the given prescription

Progressive · 7

Progressive lenses

When you notice that your arms have grown "too short" while reading, that you never have enough light and that your eyes tire more easily, you have most likely entered the stage when the eye's lens begins to lose its elasticity along with the eye's accommodative capacity. This refractive condition is called presbyopia.

Presbyopia can be corrected with progressive lenses — multiple prescriptions with a smooth transition between powers, correcting refractive errors at near, intermediate and distant ranges. In short, they give you sharp vision at every distance without needing to swap glasses.

Their limitations are a narrower field of view at intermediate and near distances and a higher cost than single-vision lenses; but if you need glasses for both distance and near vision, progressives are practically the solution for you.

Progressive lenses

In recent years HOYA has invested heavily in research to refine its progressive lenses, with progress in stability and focus in every direction of gaze. The transition-based design enables an organic simulation of natural vision — the FreeForm design, a dual-surface processing characteristic of the Hoyalux iD product family — guaranteeing fast adaptation to new glasses thanks to a wide, distortion-free field of view and rapid interaction between near and distance.

iD FreeForm Design Technology

The technology rests on a unique surface structure in which the addition is split into horizontal and vertical components. These components are then placed in their optimal position relative to the eye: vertical components on the front (away from the eye), where a short, efficient progression ensures easy interaction between near and distance, and horizontal components on the back (closest to the eye) to deliver minimal distortion and the widest possible field of view.

HOYA Amplitude / MyStyle / MySelf

Advantages of Hoyalux iD progressive lenses

  • An exceptionally wide field of view with virtually no distortion at most distances
  • Minimal distortion and stabilisation of any sense of discomfort
  • Fast, smooth interaction between distance and near
  • A bespoke solution for every client

TrueForm Technology

TrueForm Technology applies free-form principles to the existing semi-finished front surfaces of progressive lenses.

The progressive distribution on the front of the lens is left untouched, as it is the original design that defines visual performance. In the past, conventional surfacing techniques were used to optimise a single distance within the range of a single base curve, with spherical/toric free-form processing of the back surface and polishing techniques to optimise each individual design. By applying additional aberration correction along every line of sight and supporting back-surface aspherisation, lens performance can be optimised across the entire surface.

For you this means that the prescription is uniquely calculated and produced — guaranteeing lens performance and bringing out visual sharpness in every single line of sight.

HOYA Balansis progressive lenses
Comfort · fast adaptation

Balansis

Advanced progressive lenses for visual comfort.

Our customers adapt to them very easily. Meeting clients' visual needs is essential to running a successful practice — Balansis is built around the wearer's top visual priorities.

Key features

In research, wearers of progressive lenses were asked about the problems they face with their existing lenses and the factors they consider most important for good vision.

They identified three main issues: peripheral vision, difficulty shifting from distance to near, and a sense of unsteadiness in motion. Conversely, the top priority for clients is comfort — alongside an attractive price and look.

In designing the Balansis lens we took these findings into account, drawing on HOYA's advanced technologies to deliver the highest level of visual comfort.

Technologies

  • View Xpansion Technology — reduces peripheral image distortion
  • Double Surface Technology — optimal power distribution across the front and back surfaces with natural eye movement when shifting between distances
  • Stable View Enhancer — a digital evaluation method that corrects dynamic distortion

Key benefits

In today's fast-paced life, Balansis offers the visual comfort clients want. Whether your clients are long-time progressive-lens wearers who would benefit from an upgraded design or first-time progressive wearers, Balansis delivers:

  • A wide, clear, distortion-free field of view in every direction
  • Effortless transitions between visual fields and focus on digital devices, printed materials and other near objects
  • Stable image perception, even in dynamic situations such as walking up or down stairs
  • Fast adaptation
HOYA Daynamic progressive lenses
Freedom all day

Daynamic

A feeling of freedom and ease throughout the day.

Hoya Daynamic are modern progressive lenses that offer more comfortable vision than reading glasses or standard progressives, so you switch far less between inadequate solutions.

As we age, our eyes find it harder to adjust to different distances. We start to squint, open our eyes wider and search for the right reading distance by moving our arms. Sound familiar? It means we can't work efficiently or feel at ease — because we constantly have to swap glasses for different distances (at the shops, while playing sport, and so on).

PLUS: a wider field of view at every distance

Compared with standard progressive lenses, Hoya Daynamic does not restrict your vision.

  • Sharp vision at every distance
  • A clear, expansive viewing area
  • A wide choice of frames without compromising vision

Backside Design Technology

Thanks to the special Backside Design Technology, you don't need to move your head much while reading. You can choose any prescription frame without compromising visual quality.

Sun treatments

Treatments — solutions for the sun

If you wear both sunglasses and prescription glasses and are tired of constantly swapping, a good solution is photochromic lenses — one pair that does everything.

Photochromic lenses stay clear indoors and darken on contact with light and UV rays.

If you're shopping for prescription sunglasses, you'll be pleased to hear that the range of colours is almost unlimited — from solid to gradient tints that fade from dark to light.

Prolonged sun exposure without eye protection can cause degenerative changes in retinal cells, lens clouding and cancer; short but extreme exposure can lead to temporary vision loss and inflammatory conditions.

Photochromic · 3

Photochromic lenses

If you wear both sunglasses and prescription glasses and are tired of swapping between them, photochromic lenses are a great solution — everything in a single pair.

The advantage of photochromic lenses is that they adapt to different lighting conditions — darkening outdoors in response to UV light, and lightening indoors.

Photochromic lenses are ideal for anyone who values glasses that can be worn both indoors and outdoors — guaranteeing sharp vision while doubling as sunglasses. They are recommended for anyone particularly sensitive to sunlight. Besides UV radiation, temperature also affects their performance — they work more effectively in cold, snowy and sunny weather when temperatures are low and UV radiation is strong than in hot but overcast conditions when temperatures are higher and UV is weaker.

New generation — fades back to clear 2× faster.

HOYA has been making photochromic lenses since 1969, and ever since has strived to produce the best photochromic solution for every lighting condition.

What Sensity offers

  • Stabilight technology for consistent performance across climates and weather conditions
  • Outstanding contrast and reduced glare with rich, natural lens colours
  • Exceptional optical quality and durability thanks to Photochromic Precision technology
  • Availability on stock single-vision lenses in 1.50 and 1.60 index

A new approach to photochromic lenses

HOYA Sensity photochromic lenses with Stabilight technology take photochromic performance to a new level. Stabilight ensures stable performance across climates, seasons and conditions. Not only do they darken faster to category 3 sunglasses level (up to 45% darker after 90 seconds), they also fade back to clear faster as ambient light decreases (up to 23% lighter after 1 minute).

Full UV protection is maintained while the lens changes colour. Sensity offers clients maximum comfort and the best protection. In August 2020 the new Sensity 2 generation was introduced — fading back to clear 2× faster.

Unmatched colour retention

Sensity photochromic lenses excellently fend off reflections while preserving contrast and colour perception. They come in two natural shades developed in line with sunglass tint trends for a contemporary look — bronze-brown and silver-grey. Sensity lenses are also available in green via custom (prescription) production.

Excellent durability and performance

Sensity photochromic lenses are produced using Photochromic Precision technology. A microscopically accurate coating process adapted to free-form lens production ensures even distribution of the molecules across the lens surface — delivering exceptional performance and extended durability.

Sensity Shine is available in the following colour range: silver-grey + mirror silver, bronze-brown + mirror bronze, and emerald-green + mirror blue.

Polarised

Polarised lenses

Sunlight reaches Earth as light waves. When these waves strike a reflective surface their direction changes and they scatter — examples include water and glass.

The key element of a polarised lens is the polariser — a thin layer embedded in the lens. When the polarising filter is placed in the path of incoming light, the rays become polarised — vibrating parallel to one another, most often horizontally. Polarised lenses reduce unwanted glare from reflective surfaces, so the optical image isn't distorted — ensuring clearer vision and protecting the eyes from harmful effects. Like sunglasses, polarised lenses reduce the amount of light reaching the eyes, but they also reduce glare.

Polarised lenses are ideal for all kinds of outdoor activity — sport, fishing, sailing and skiing. HOYA offers polarised lenses in brown, grey and American Gray tones.

Dynamic Sphere

Don't miss a moment — eliminate unwanted reflections.

Dynamic Sphere polarised lenses deliver unmatched advantages compared with standard sunglasses.

They enhance contrast, offer 100% protection against harmful UV rays, eliminate intense glare and are extremely comfortable while driving or doing water and winter sports.

They are intended for people with a dynamic lifestyle who spend a lot of time outdoors and want more than standard sunglasses. By eliminating unwanted reflections during specific outdoor activities (driving, water/winter sports), wearers experience exceptional vision and enjoy the remarkable benefits of these lenses.
